Should I Budget More For Wedding Videos or Wedding Photos?
This is a question that only you can answer, but I can help guide you in the right direction. Photos and videos are both great, I would never promote one service over the other, it just depends on you.
I grew up watching and enjoying home videos with my family, so video has always meant a lot to me - I knew before I ever got engaged that I would choose a quality video over quality photos if I had to. For others - they may already know that they will never watch the video again, maybe the video is only for the family who can't make it and quality doesn't matter.
That's not to say that a higher price means you will get better quality. If you're worried about a company's quality of video, request to get a video they have done that you can watch on all devices and make sure you are happy with the quality.
It comes down to this - are you more likely to enjoy watching a video of your wedding or looking at photos of your wedding as the years go on? Whichever the answer is should be the priority in your budget.
If you want both services equally, then you should look into vendors for each and figure out where you can settle and where you can't. It is possible to get a lower price on photos from someone who is just starting out, while spending a fortune for an experienced wedding videographer, or vice versa.
